Unique Possibilities

Continuing the tradition of technology leadership started when the EXPLORER team introduced its first BGAN terminal in 2005, EXPLORER 710 introduces several advanced new features.

Uniquely, it has the ability to bond the signals from multiple EXPLORER 710 terminals via Ethernet to achieve IP streaming rates of 1 Mbps or even higher – closer to standard definition broadcast quality.

Bring Your Own Device

EXPLORER 710 also introduces Smart Phone apps to the world of BGAN connectivity, enabling users to wirelessly connect their own devices for voice calling and connectivity.

It’s light, compact, tough and incredibly reliable. It opens more possibilities for connecting devices, offering more flexibility. It’s ultra-portable, so you can be set-up within minutes of arriving on scene.

EXPLORER 710 is the complete package, featuring touches like a USB host interface, hot-swappable batteries, easy-to-use LED display and multiple interfaces.

It’s the world’s smallest and lightest Class 1 BGAN terminal and the first platform to make use of new high data rate streaming as standard, so is a true next generation BGAN terminal.

EXPLORER Connect App

EXPLORER Connect is for management of the Cobham SATCOM EXPLORER 510 and EXPLORER 710 satellite terminals.

EXPLORER Connect offers monitoring and configuration of the EXPLORER terminal and includes a built-in satellite phone for making or receiving satellite calls using the EXPLORER terminal.

  • Satellite Phone – Use your phone as a satellite phone to make and receive calls via the EXPLORER terminal
  • Terminal Access – Open the terminal’s web interface for management and configuration
  • Pointing – Activate the pointing process towards the BGAN satellite and see signal strength
  • Dashboard – See the terminal status

Monthly Flex Data Plan: Great for inconsistent usage.  Data is billed each month at predetermined flat rates determined by that month’s usage.  Discounts increase the more you use, no need to commit to high cost monthly plans to reduce your per MB rates.

Each Month your total data usage determines which tier you will be billed for.  For example if you use 15MB in a month you will be billed the Tier 1 price for that month.  If you use 475MB in a month, you will be billed at Tier 4 price for that month.
