Narwhal connects to shore Wi-Fi, cellular, and satellite networks and automatically chooses from the least-cost option available at any time.  The system also controls which devices on your boat can use each of the Internet connections you have available, preventing non-critical devices from consuming expensive data.  Guest logins and website blacklists are also included features in every Narwhal version.

Narwhal consolidates multiple existing Wi-Fi networks and easily integrates onboard NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 networks, enabling your smart devices to perform navigation and communications functions simultaneously.  No more need to switch between a satellite device’s wi-fi network and an AIS or chartplotter’s wi-fi network; Narwhal bridges all of these networks into a single on-board Navigation and Communication network for your laptops, smartphones, tablets, smart TV’s, and more!

Long-Range Wi-Fi and Cellular Packages

Sea-Tech recommends the Rogue Series of Wi-Fi Extenders by Wave WiFi.  Rogue Wi-Fi Extenders are ultra-small, compact Wireless Bridge and Ethernet Converter with output power of an incredible 800mW. Rogue Wi-Fi Extenders include user-friendly, proprietary web-based interface with the ability to automatically reconnect to your favorite shore side Wi-Fi networks, permantently ignore networks you don’t want to see, automatically adjust output power (on Dual-Band models), and even have built-in features to make logging in to wi-fi network popup windows easeir.  Easier to use with Higher power and signal strength than competing wi-fi extenders.

Wave WiFi’s line of Mobile Broadband Routers are cost-effective broadband source selectors suitable for offshore cruising boats, sport fisherman, or megayachts. The MNC-1200 can handle up to four input sources such as Wave WiFi’s own Rogue Pro DB and your Fleet One, Iridium Pilot, Certus, Fleet Broadband, HughesNet, or VSAT system. The MNC-1250 model also handles up to four input sources PLUS an integrated global band LTE-A cellular modem and SIM slot for connecting to the Internet. Both models also include a built-in 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi access point and at least one gigabit ethernet LAN port.  Use the MNC-1250 cellular model with an additional external cellular antenna, or in conjunction with a cellular booster, to bring cellular Internet to the boat while underway miles offshore.
