LTE. Wi-Fi. RoIP. VHF/UHF. Satellite. One Integrated Communications System.
SeaTech Systems designs and configures Icom network radio systems that connect people, facilities, vehicles, vessels, and remote sites — using the communications technology that makes sense at each location.
Whether you need license-free Wi-Fi radios inside a facility, LTE push-to-talk across a region, traditional VHF/UHF coverage, or a custom integrated solution, we can design a system that brings them together.

Modern Radio Communications Don't Have to Be Limited to One Type of Radio

Traditional radio systems typically operate within a specific technology, frequency band, or geographic coverage area.
Modern network communications change that.
Wi-Fi, LTE, satellite, VHF/UHF, and IP-based communications can work together in a unified system.
Icom’s network communications products make it possible to connect different technologies, locations, and users without requiring everyone to use the same type of radio.
SeaTech Systems designs the architecture that brings them together.
Which Network Architecture Is Right for You?
Wi-Fi / IP Radio
Push-to-Talk Over Your Own Network
Typical platform
IP110H + IP1100CV
Icom Wi-Fi radios provide familiar push-to-talk communications using your existing or purpose-built wireless network.
Excellent fit for vessels, warehouses, campuses, offices, industrial facilities, event venues, and other locations where you control Wi-Fi coverage.
Coverage grows with your network, and multiple locations can be interconnected.
LTE Push-to-Talk
Wide-Area Communications Without Building a Radio Network
Typical platform
IP504H
Icom LTE radios provide radio-style push-to-talk communications using supported cellular networks.
They’re ideal for mobile teams, vehicles, multiple facilities, regional operations, and organizations whose users extend far beyond the coverage of a traditional radio system.
Hybrid LTE + Wi-Fi
One Radio. Two Networks. Seamless Roaming
Typical platform
IP510H + VE-PG4
For organizations that operate both inside their own facilities and out in the field, hybrid radios can combine private Wi-Fi coverage with wide-area LTE communications.
Users can remain part of the same communications environment as they move between locations and networks.
VHF + UHF + IP
Connect the Systems You Already Have
Typical platform
Existing radio system + VE-PG4 + appropriate IP radios
The Icom VE-PG4 RoIP gateway can connect different communications technologies into a unified system.
That can include Icom LTE and Wi-Fi radios alongside existing VHF/UHF, analog or digital radio systems, SIP phones, dispatch applications, and other communications equipment.
Connect Multiple Sites
Your communications system doesn’t have to stop at the property line.
Offices, vessels, facilities, temporary deployments, and remote teams can be interconnected using broadband, cellular, satellite connectivity, and VPNs.
Each location can retain local communications while also participating in organization-wide groups.
SeaTech can design both the radio system and the network connecting it.
Satellite Integrated Radio
Push-to-Talk Beyond Cellular Range
Typical platform
VEPG4, IC-SAT100(m)
Add Satellite Push-to-Talk capabilities for Remote Workers where LTE and Wi-Fi don’t exist, and UHF/VHF can’t reach.
Integrate Satellite into UHF/VHF, WiFi, and/or LTE Talk Groups through VE-PG4, or interconnect different RoIP systems with satellite backhaul across geographies.
Keep Your Existing VHF or UHF System
Extend Your Communications Without Replacing Your Infrastructure
Your existing radio system may already do exactly what you need within its coverage area.
RoIP integration can extend those capabilities to LTE, Wi-Fi, satellite, remote facilities, and dispatch operations.
Imagine a Wi-Fi radio aboard a vessel communicating with someone on a conventional VHF channel, or an LTE radio hundreds of miles away reaching personnel on your existing UHF system.
Integrate Dispatch and Control. Icom PC-based dispatch solutions allow operators to communicate with radio users across integrated networks from a centralized workstation.
Ideal for security operations, transportation, facilities management, event coordination, and organizations managing personnel across multiple locations.
Modernize your communications while protecting your existing investment.

More Than a Radio Dealer
We Understand the Network Behind the Radio.
Today’s communications systems increasingly depend on IP networking, cellular infrastructure, satellite connectivity, VPNs, and integration between different technologies.
SeaTech Systems brings those disciplines together.
We design complete communications solutions, from individual radios and local networks to integrated, multi-site systems spanning multiple communications technologies.
We don’t just supply radios. We make the entire system work together.
Design to Deployment — and Beyond
A typical project may include:
Requirements Review
We identify users, locations, coverage requirements, existing communications equipment, Internet connectivity, and operational needs.
System Architecture
We determine where Wi-Fi, LTE, conventional radio, VPN connectivity, controllers, and RoIP gateways fit into the design.
Fleet & Talkgroup Planning
We develop the radio IDs, groups, talkgroups, calling structure, and interoperability plan.
Equipment Configuration
Radios, controllers, gateways, routers, and network equipment can be configured before deployment.
Deployment, Management & Support
We provide installation and commissioning assistance, documentation, ongoing technical support, and optional fully managed communications services.
Start With a Needs Call
Whether you’re planning six radios at a single location or an integrated network connecting multiple sites and radio technologies, we can help determine the right architecture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Icom Wi-Fi radios require an FCC radio license?
Icom Wi-Fi radios operate over standard wireless LAN networks, while LTE radios use commercial cellular networks. Neither requires the customer to obtain a conventional land-mobile radio license for those operations. Integrating licensed VHF/UHF equipment may involve separate FCC licensing requirements.
Can LTE radios communicate with Wi-Fi radios?
Yes, when the system is designed with the appropriate infrastructure and gateway components.
Can our existing VHF or UHF radios be connected?
The VE-PG4 RoIP gateway is specifically designed to interconnect different radio and communications systems with each other and with newer IP-based systems. The exact interface depends on the existing equipment.
Can multiple locations communicate together?
Yes. Sites connected through suitable Internet and VPN connectivity can participate in shared communications groups even when they are geographically separated.
Does the system still work locally if the Internet goes down?
That depends on the system architecture. Systems can be designed to maintain local communications during Internet outages, with satellite connectivity and conventional VHF/UHF radio providing additional communication paths where configured.
Can SeaTech manage our communications system?
Yes. Depending on your requirements, SeaTech can provide equipment, system design, configuration, deployment assistance, ongoing technical support, and managed communications services.
